ENTERPRISE


OAK Enterprise Services OAK Enterprise Services offers a range of supports to long-term unemployed persons considering setting up their own business. Enterprise services provided by the Partnership include a one-to-one confidential information service, mentoring, training, grant assistance and the development of business plans. Through their Enterprise Service, OAK Partnership aim to provide clients with the support, information and expertise to help enable them to overcome the many obstacles which they may experience in entering self-employment.

Services provided include:

  • Business Development Programme:
    oakp_sept.05_bus_dev_birdhouse.jpgA 26 week comprehensive business skills training programme providing essential training and information on all the key aspects of self employment such as book-keeping, financial management, marketing / market research, sales, communications, writing a business plan, insurance, guest speakers, past participants, mentoring / advice and post course follow up and much more.

  • Mentoring:
    A range of expert business mentors are available to clients to help them with particular aspects of their business including book keeping, taxation, marketing, research and sales advice.

  • Enterprise Network: OAK Partnership have developed an enterprise network of local business owners, allowing existing and previous clients to tap into a wealth of practical experience and expertise as well as encouraging local business networking.



  • Back to Work Enterprise Allowance Scheme: The Back to Work Enterprise Allowance encourages unemployed people, lone parents and people in receipt of a Disability Allowance to take up self-employment. Participants of the Scheme receive four years financial support along with additional secondary benefits. (subject to conditions). OAK Enterprise Services acts on behalf of the Department of Social and Family Affairs in administering the Back to Work Enterprise Allowance.
